Mapa de um lugar único é um objeto artístico que aproveita a representação gráfica de uma imagem cristalizada de uma cidade imaginária. Este é um mapa construído a partir de uma cidade que contém muitas outras cidades: a cidade que vemos, a cidade onde vivemos, a cidade ‘morta’ e a cidade enterrada, um palimpsesto que desvela o seu passado.

Há uma grelha que se oculta sob outra, mas que revela traços; um tempo passou, mas deixou vestígios que podem ser recuperados. Há uma sobreposição de camadas da experiência de vida que instigam o trabalho de um desvelamento; uma espécie de arqueologia do olhar que deixou pegadas, talvez impercetíveis, que terão de ser descobertas.

Map of a unique place is an artistic object that takes advantage of the graphic representation of a crystallized image of an imaginary city. This is a map built from a city that contains many other cities: the city we see, the city where we live, the 'dead' city and the buried city, a palimpsest that unveils its past.

There is a grid that is hidden under another, but reveals traces; a time has passed, but has left traces that can be recovered. There is an overlapping of layers of life experience that instigate the work of unveiling; a kind of archaeology of the gaze that left footprints, perhaps imperceptible, that will have to be discovered.
