Convento do Carmo, Lisbon. HWITHIN Project

Projeto Heritage Within - HWITHIN

HWITHIN was coordinated in the last two years by the School of Engineering of UMinho, in partnership with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the National Research Council of Italy, with funding from the EU's Creative Europe Programme.

The following year, in January 1756, the rebuilding of the old church began, in Neogothic style, suspended in 1834, due to the extinction of the Religious Orders. The pillars and arches that cross the ships are from this first period of reconstruction.
